What Happened
Bentley's new state-of-the-art Paint Shop in Crewe, covering 12,500 sqm, has begun operations. It features a fleet of ten Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) to move car bodies, making it the first automotive paint shop in the world to use self-propelled carriers. The facility also introduces a water-based paint primer and a Residual Thermal Oxidiser (RTO) to purify air, reducing VOC emissions by up to 98%.
