Dimensional adjustments extend the hatchback's length to 4,205 mm and widen the wheelbase to 2,650 mm, shifting the vehicle from a four-person layout to a five-seat configuration. Exterior styling incorporates reworked front illumination alongside six paint finishes: gray, white, blue, orange, pink, and green.
Underneath the sheet metal, a permanent-magnet synchronous motor delivers 95 kW (127 hp) fed by lithium iron phosphate chemistry. Pack selections of 30 kWh and 39.2 kWh deliver estimated driving ranges spanning 320 km to 420 km on the CLTC cycle. Functional updates encompass a 94-liter front storage compartment, column-mounted transmission controls, powered front seats with driver massage, and optional roof lidar hardware.
Why this matters
The expansion transforms BYD's entry-level electric hatchback into a more practical subcompact capable of challenging larger rivals like the Geely Xingyuan. Offering advanced driver assistance and expanded interior space protects BYD's market share in China's highly contested urban EV category.
