What Happened
DAF has commenced series production of the XG Electric and XG+ Electric at its Eindhoven plant. The first truck, an XG+ tractor with 350 kW/480 hp, has been delivered to Hellmold & Plank, a German logistics provider with 122 years of history. These electric trucks are designed for long-haul transport and feature a spacious cab of up to 12.5 m³.
The XG and XG+ Electric are powered by the PACCAR EX-D2 electric powertrain, delivering 270 to 350 kW and a maximum torque of 2,400 Nm. With up to five LFP battery packs, they can achieve a zero-emission range of over 500 kilometers. The trucks share their DNA with the XD and XF Electric, which were jointly voted 'International Truck of the Year 2026'.
“The start of production of the XG Electric and XG+ Electric, underlines our commitment to offering zero-emission solutions across a broad range of applications. Customers such as Hellmold & Plank demonstrate that our electric trucks are delivering strong efficiency and sustainable performances in everyday logistics operations.”
