What Happened
DENZA, the premium brand of BYD Group, will introduce its Z9GT electric flagship at Paris's Palais Garnier opera house on April 8. The vehicle features FLASH Charging technology powered by BYD's latest Blade Battery 2.0 and 1500kW charging stations, capable of charging from 10% to 70% in just five minutes and from 10% to 97% in nine minutes.

The Z9GT is a shooting brake Grand Tourer with European-influenced design and an e3 platform. It offers a 122kWh Blade Battery providing up to 800km range in rear-wheel-drive form, and a triple-motor all-wheel-drive version producing over 960PS for 0-100km/h in under three seconds. Inside, it features a Devialet audio system with Dolby Atmos for an immersive entertainment experience.
Why this matters
This breakthrough aims to eliminate range anxiety by enabling EV charging as fast as refueling a gasoline car, even in extreme cold, potentially accelerating EV adoption in Europe.
