FAW and NIO Partner to Advance Battery Swap Technology and EV Collaboration

What Happened
FAW Group Corporation and NIO signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on May 21 at the Jilin-Anhui Cooperation and Development Exchange symposium. FAW chairman Qiu Xiandong said the state-owned automaker will leverage its role in scientific and technological innovation and work with NIO and other enterprises to explore further cooperation and support the green and intelligent transformation of the automotive industry in Jilin and Anhui provinces.
“This strategic cooperation is expected to promote the standardization of battery swap technology, generalization of the battery swap technology, and expansion of the battery swap network, so as to alleviate electric vehicle users' range anxiety and accelerate the development of China's intelligent electric vehicle industry.”
