What Happened
A 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Dingri County in the city of Rikaze, Xizang, killing 126 people and injuring 188 others, while toppling thousands of rural houses. On January 8, FAW Group, along with its sub-brands Hongqi, Jiefang, Bestune, FAW-Volkswagen, and FAW Toyota, donated money and vehicles worth 11 million yuan for emergency rescue and reconstruction in the severely affected areas. FAW stated it will continue to monitor the relief situation and support local communities.
