What Happened
On March 28, 2025, a magnitude 7.9 earthquake struck Myanmar's Sagaing Division. FAW Jiefang International immediately activated emergency plans, ensured staff safety, and coordinated with local partners to deliver relief supplies. They donated $3,000, half for supplies such as drinking water and food, and half to hire a transport team for the damaged Yangon-Mandalay highway.
“There are no national boundaries in front of the disaster, one more second for us, one more hope for our compatriots in the disaster area!”
The first batch of relief materials was loaded at 4 a.m. on April 2 and drove to the epicenter at dawn. It has since arrived in the disaster area and is being distributed. The effort was praised by People's Daily and by Aung Kyaw, permanent secretary of Myanmar's Ministry of Education.
