What Happened
Kia is using the 2026 Paris Motor Show to showcase the breadth of its growing electrified line-up, led by the European premiere of the all-new Seltos Hybrid. The second-generation Seltos sits in the highly competitive and fast-growing C-SUV segment and is Kia's second best-selling model globally. Kia is also expanding its dedicated all-electric Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) line-up, following the market introduction of the PV5 and the recent unveiling of the PV7 at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover. Across more than 1,000 square metres, the display brings together SUVs, hybrid vehicles, high-performance EVs and PBVs, with Kia located in Hall 6 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, where the show runs from 12 to 18 October.
The Seltos Hybrid is Kia's first model to feature an e-AWD system, which the company says enables precise torque distribution, improved traction and enhanced stability. It expands Kia's European hybrid offering, giving customers additional choice alongside models including the Sportage, Niro and K4. Kia says the new Seltos combines bold and rugged design with advanced technologies, practical functionality and convenience, underlining the brand's design leadership and its commitment to refined practicality, modern technology and advanced usability for customers seeking a versatile SUV with strong road presence. The model supports the brand's transition towards electrified mobility in Europe and strengthens Kia's SUV line-up.
The 2026 Paris Motor Show also marks the European motor show debut of the new Kia K4 Hybrid, ahead of a scheduled start of production on 15 October 2026. Available in Hatchback and Sportswagon body styles, the new variant combines the K4's bold design, spacious interior and advanced technology with a full hybrid powertrain, further broadening Kia's electrified offering in the European C-segment. According to the latest ACEA registration data, Kia is Europe's fastest-growing top 10 passenger-car brand year-to-date, with registrations up 9.0% between January and August 2026 and market share of 4.1%. Hybrid vehicles are an important contributor to that momentum, led by the Sportage HEV, and Kia says the hybrid portfolio will be further strengthened with the all-new Seltos HEV and K4 HEV.
