Mahindra's electric three-wheeler unit tops 400,000 deliveries
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility has recorded more than 400,000 cumulative electric vehicle sales, which it says makes it the earliest player in India's commercial-vehicle sector to reach that figure.
- 400,000+
- 9 billion+ km
- ~185,000 tonnes
- 1 million EVs
What Happened
The Mahindra & Mahindra subsidiary said its electric fleet has together clocked more than 9 billion kilometres in passenger and freight last-mile duty, which by its own reckoning has kept roughly 185,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide out of the air. It has led India's electric commercial-vehicle rankings for four financial years running.
- The Treo range of electric three-wheelers
- The UDO
- The Zor Grand cargo carrier
- The ZEO small commercial vehicle
- The e-Alfa passenger three-wheeler
“4 Lakh is not just a number for us — it is 4 Lakh livelihoods we helped power every single day”
The company put the momentum down to vehicles whose economics work for drivers, delivery partners and small traders, backed by spending on financing, partnerships and after-sales support. Its stated ambition is a million of its EVs running on India's roads come 2031.
Why this matters
Small last-mile electric vehicles are among the fastest-electrifying corners of Indian mobility, where fuel savings land directly on an operator's daily earnings. The milestone shows how far battery-powered commercial transport has scaled in the segments most sensitive to running costs.
