What Happened
MAN Truck & Bus presents at IAA Transportation 2026 its complete portfolio of trucks and vans from 3.5 to 250 tonnes, covering both electric and conventional drivetrains. For the first time, the entire MAN eTruck family (eTGL, eTGM, eTGS, eTGX) from 12 to 50 tonnes is on display, offering ranges of up to 570 kilometers for the eTGX in typical long-haul configuration. The vehicles share a modular battery technology designed for various transport applications.
Efficiency improvements are a key focus. The new D30 PowerLion drivetrain delivers up to 5% fuel savings over its predecessor. The GPS-based MAN EfficientCruise with PredictiveDrive, when used consistently, achieves up to 5.5% fuel or energy savings, and up to 9% in demanding topographies. Automatic over-the-air map updates keep the system current without workshop visits.
“'Driving. People. Partner.' brings to the point what MAN stands for: With particularly efficient, reliable and safe vehicles, we drive the transformation of transport forward. With our employees and our service network, we are close to our customers and are expanding this proximity with investments of 300 million euros worldwide in the next few years. Safety is highlighted with new assistance systems: the next-generation MAN Emergency Brake Assist EBA Advanced, a Driver Monitoring System detecting distraction and fatigue, and enhanced protection for pedestrians, cyclists, and other road users in low-speed and turning areas. The digital mirror replacement system MAN OptiView now includes an attractive basic version.
MAN Transport Solutions presents a full e-mobility ecosystem including smart charging infrastructure, energy management, and the MAN Charge&Go service, which adds 50 additional charging locations in Europe (including Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Portugal). Bidirectional charging and the Smart Charging Cube for sites without powerful grid connections are previewed.
