What Happened

The Volkswagen Group and AUDI AG are filling two key Board of Management positions. Martin Sander, currently Member of the Board of Management for Sales, Marketing and After Sales at the Volkswagen brand, is returning to Audi and will take over the Board of Management responsibility for Sales and Marketing effective October 1, 2026. Marco Schubert will become a member of the Extended Executive Committee of the Volkswagen Group for the North American region, responsible for overall management of North America and reporting directly to Volkswagen Group CEO Oliver Blume.

Martin Sander returns to Audi after holding various leadership positions at the Four Rings from 1995 to 2022 and brings many years of international sales and market experience, especially in Europe and North America. He remains closely connected across both Audi and the Volkswagen Group. Marco Schubert has served as Audi's Board member for Sales and Marketing since September 2024 and has also been a member of the Extended Executive Committee with responsibility for Sales, Marketing and After Sales.

Marco Schubert has driven one of the largest model initiatives in Audi's history under challenging market conditions. He has further developed Audi Sales, placed an even stronger focus on customers and strengthened collaboration with importers and dealers.
