What Happened

From July 12 to 25, 2026, Maserati held an exclusive Driving Experience in Trieste, Italy, for over 100 journalists from around the world. The event served as the dynamic debut for the updated GranTurismo, GranCabrio, and Grecale, with routes along the Adriatic coast, the Collio hills, and the Karst countryside. Participants drove on sections of the historic Trieste-Opicina hill climb, which Maserati won three times in the 1950s and 1960s.

The 530-hp Grecale Trofeo V6 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h and reaches a top speed of 285 km/h.

A border city and cultural crossroads, Trieste provided the ideal backdrop for the dynamic debut of our three new models. On these roads, steeped in legendary motorsport history, our guests experienced firsthand what Maserati’s vision of 'Italian Gran Turismo' means today.

The media drive also included a session on the Maserati Fuoriserie customization program and an exclusive visit to ITS Arcademy - Museum of Art in Fashion, Italy's first museum dedicated to contemporary fashion. These activities highlighted Maserati's focus on bespoke craftsmanship and design. Additionally, the event was part of the brand's centenary celebrations, which have included a grand tour from China and debuts at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Previously from Maserati S.p.A.

The updated GranTurismo, GranCabrio, and Grecale were first publicly shown at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier in July 2026. The media drive in Trieste is part of Maserati's broader centenary celebrations, which also included a 15,000-km grand tour from China to Italy.

Why this matters

The event marks the centenary of Maserati's Trident logo and its first motorsport victory, showcasing updated models with the more powerful Nettuno V6 engine. For enthusiasts and potential buyers, it demonstrates Maserati's commitment to blending performance, luxury, and Italian craftsmanship, while the media drive reinforces the brand's global presence and heritage.
