Mercedes-Benz Vans today celebrated the start of series production of the new electric Mercedes-Benz VLE at its Vitoria plant in Spain. The VLE is the first production vehicle based on the company's newly developed modular and flexible van architecture, which will underpin the entire future van portfolio. The plant has been transformed into a highly digital, efficient, and sustainable facility, with investments in body shop, paint shop, assembly, logistics, and IT systems.
“The VLE shows exemplarily how we at Mercedes-Benz drive innovation: fast, focused, and with the highest quality standards. We developed the VLE in record time.
