What Happened
The Nissan Formula E Team heads to Berlin this weekend for Rounds 7 and 8 of the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The circuit, a 2.343-kilometer layout with 15 corners, has hosted 22 races, more than any other venue. Team principal Tommaso Volpe says the six-week break allowed the team to analyze data and address performance issues, and the team is confident in transferring qualifying strength to race results.
“The break came at a good time for us after Madrid and we've had a lot of time to work and analyze data, which you don't always get in Formula E. We're confident that we've found the main reasons why we've been struggling recently and we have been working hard to put them right.”
Drivers Oliver Rowland and Norman Nato both have prior victories at the Berlin track. Rowland clinched the 2024/25 Drivers' World Championship at the venue with two races to spare, while Nato earned his first Formula E win there in 2021. Sam Bird, reserve and development driver, noted the unique concrete surface and expects a peloton-style race on Sunday with Pit Boost on Saturday.
Why this matters
Berlin is the only city to host a Formula E race every season, and Nissan aims to rebound from recent struggles at a track where both its drivers have historic wins.
