What Happened

Nissan Formula E Team has unveiled The NISMO Pit, a pop-up fan experience for the Tokyo E-Prix on Saturday, July 25. Inspired by Japan's 90s car scene where enthusiasts gathered to celebrate community and craftsmanship, the event aims to revive that ritual. Visitors can see iconic Nissan performance vehicles from the Heritage Collection, enjoy diner-inspired food, and listen to live DJ sets.

The event is created in collaboration with Tokyo-based car network NowhereToGo, showcasing modified Nissan road cars that highlight creativity and individuality. Additionally, the current Nissan Formula E GEN3 Evo car will be displayed with a special one-off NISMO-inspired livery, featuring grey, black, red accents, and the team's cherry blossom motif.

It was a real honor to be involved in this project with Nissan Formula E Team. The thing that excited me the most was thinking about how to turn the speed and futuristic feeling of Formula E and NISMO's culture into a logo and graphic identity.
