What Happened
Nissan India sold 3,426 vehicles domestically in August 2026, up 147 percent from the same month a year earlier.
Including overseas shipments, Nissan’s August wholesale total was 9,350 units. Exports accounted for 5,924 vehicles.
Nissan’s opening Tekton export consignment exceeded 1,300 vehicles. The first destinations were South Africa, Bhutan and Nepal, with additional markets due to follow from India.
The Magnite, Gravite and Tekton supported the domestic result, while the export programme positions India as a supply base for Nissan’s international rollout.
Why this matters
The result combines a sharp increase in Nissan’s Indian domestic volume with the opening phase of a new export programme built around the Tekton.
