Nissan launches all-new Elgrand premium minivan in Japan with e-POWER hybrid and e-4ORCE

Nissan today announced the launch of the all-new Elgrand in Japan, with sales starting July 16. The premium minivan was first unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. Its design concept, "The private MAGLEV," combines a sense of linear speed with a dignified stance, embodying Nissan's "Timeless Japanese Futurism" philosophy. The front grille draws on traditional Kumiko woodworking, and five body colors are available, including a premium two-tone of Fuji Dawn and Shigoku.

The third-generation e-POWER hybrid pairs a newly designed engine (ZR15DDTe) with a 5-in-1 electric powertrain unit, improving quietness and fuel efficiency. Enhanced e‑4ORCE electric all-wheel control increases rear motor use during cornering for a more engaging drive. Intelligent Dynamic Suspension adapts damping force in real time, while Smooth Stop controls braking to eliminate jolts. Advanced Active Noise Control, a Nissan world-first, reduces both engine and road noise.

The interior features a 14.3-inch integrated interface display, ambient lighting with 64 color settings, and Zero Gravity Seats for all rows. Second-row seats offer dual reclining and ottomans that can be used simultaneously with the front passenger seat. A Bose 22-speaker premium sound system with 3D surround sound is available. The cabin is significantly larger than the previous generation, with large windows and a theater layout.

For driver assistance, the all-new Elgrand offers ProPILOT with Navi-link, Traffic Jam Hands-Off Mode (up to 50 km/h), and Lane Change Support (from 60 km/h). ProPILOT 2.0 is optional on G e‑4ORCE. ProPILOT Park with memory handles automated parking. NissanConnect now features Google built-in, supporting Google Maps, Assistant, and Play. A new "Mimamori Drive" service sends real-time driving notifications to family members.
