What Happened
Rimac Automobili has released an extended film documenting the preparation and technical engineering behind Red Bull athlete Dario Costa's world-first plane landing on a moving cargo train. The feat, completed on 15 February 2026 in Afyonkarahisar, Türkiye, saw Costa land a Zivko Edge 540 on a container traveling at 120 km/h. The film follows Costa to Rimac's Zagreb facility and showcases the training program and engineering decisions.

The Nevera R holds the world record for fastest reverse speed by a production car, used as a moving reference platform during training.

Rimac engineers also designed and produced a custom-fitted Kevlar seat for Costa's cockpit using 3D body scans and composite expertise from the Nevera program. The seat reduces physical fatigue under high-G loads. Additionally, Rimac engineers are continuing to work with Costa on aerodynamic optimization of his aircraft canopy using CFD expertise.
