São Geraldo Expands Charter Fleet with Two Busscar El Buss FT Buses

Busscar has delivered two El Buss FT buses to Brazilian charter operator São Geraldo, based in Votuporanga, São Paulo. The vehicles expand the operator's fleet, which has been serving passengers for over five decades, with increased comfort, safety, and efficiency. The El Buss FT is designed specifically for charter operations, offering a wide interior with 2,600 mm of width for easy passenger movement.

Each bus is configured with 47 reclining Class Soft seats with foldable armrests, footrests, retractable seat belts, and individual USB chargers. Two spaces are reserved for passengers with disabilities, featuring tactile identification, three-point retractable belts, and an accessibility lift. Additional comfort features include air conditioning with pollen filter, two sunroofs, overhead bins with individual reading lights, LED seat identification, and under-seat LED corridor lighting.

Safety is enhanced by a rear parking sensor with display and audible alert, a door lock system that prevents movement with doors open and blocks opening above 5 km/h, and an electromagnetic safety switch on the dashboard. The electrical system uses a modular power distribution board (MPD) for easier diagnostics and maintenance. The buses are built on a Mercedes OF 1621 chassis, and the design prioritizes serviceability with modular front lighting, LED taillights, and easily replaceable wheel arches.
