What Happened
Schaeffler has expanded its intelligent lubricator portfolio with the new FAG OPTIME C1 Pro single-point lubricator. The company describes the unit's fully electromechanical setup as key to greater reliability and flexibility in use. In industrial maintenance, reliable lubrication is often invisible but essential: if rolling bearings do not receive optimal lubricant supply, wear, unplanned downtime and maintenance costs can follow. The C1 Pro is designed to support demand-based, efficient and planable maintenance processes.
- Fully electromechanical design for reliability and flexibility
- Runtime of up to 24 months
- Pressure output of up to 15 bar
- Lubricant cartridges in 60, 120 and 240 cm³
- Applications include motors, pumps, fans and conveyor systems
“With the FAG OPTIME C1 Pro, we are deliberately expanding our intelligent lubricator family to maximize the benefit for our customers. Our goal is to give users solutions that make lubrication easier, more flexible and more reliable – and thus make a real contribution to higher plant availability.”
The C1 Pro is part of the OPTIME ecosystem and can be controlled via the OPTIME app, allowing users to interrupt lubricant dispensing during maintenance to avoid waste. Compared with the hybrid OPTIME C1, which works electromechanically and with gas, the fully electromechanical C1 Pro opens up additional possibilities in application and control. It joins the established OPTIME C1 and FAG OPTIME C4 in the product family.
The new product is now available in Europe, North America and South Korea, with more countries to follow. Schaeffler says the C1 Pro continues the development of intelligent lubrication away from reactive maintenance and toward more control, availability and efficiency. The company describes this as a deliberate expansion of its intelligent lubricator family to maximize customer benefit.
Why this matters
For industrial plants, poor lubrication can cause worn bearings, unplanned downtime and higher maintenance costs. The new C1 Pro is designed to reduce those risks with up to 24 months of runtime, 15 bar of pressure, and the ability to pause lubrication through the OPTIME app during service work. That makes it relevant for maintenance teams in sectors using motors, pumps, fans and conveyor systems, and it is already available in Europe, North America and S…
