What Happened
Schaeffler is presenting components, system solutions, and services for wind turbines at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026. The technologies are designed for maximum reliability, high power density, and sustainable operation. Wind energy is one of the key technologies for the energy transition, and Schaeffler supports its global expansion.
“As wind turbines become larger and more powerful, reliability is of critical importance. What counts is not the next turbine record, but dependable top performance in innovation, technology, manufacturing, and logistics – competencies that drive sustainable economic success and help our customers succeed.”
Schaeffler uses Closed Loop Engineering to integrate development, testing, validation, and operational monitoring. This enables continuous improvement of products and systems. In close partnership with turbine and gearbox manufacturers, the company supports wind turbine development through modern system simulations, realistic test rig tests, and on-site measurement programs.
Schaeffler introduced the Wind Power Standard (WPOS) to ensure uniform global quality standards for wind turbine bearings.
Schaeffler commissioned a high-performance test rig for rotor bearings in Lindø, Denmark, capable of testing systems over 20 MW in original size.
Schaeffler presents its wind energy solutions at WindEnergy Hamburg in Hall B5, Stand 333.
- X-life quality bearings for parallel-shaft gearbox stages ensuring efficient operation under varying wind and load conditions.
- Premesy measuring system for monitoring bearing preload during assembly and operation, increasing operational safety of large turbines.
- G-series deep groove ball bearings for generators with steel cages, reducing friction and improving relubrication; available with electrical insulation.
- Arcanol LOAD400 and LOAD460 lubricants for main bearings, offering wear, corrosion, and moisture protection while reducing lubricant consumption.
“We support our partners across the entire value chain – from the first product sketch through development and production to maintenance in operation. We are a supplier of bearing solutions for wind turbines that has a truly global presence. This unique characteristic ensures worldwide availability for customers and at the same time secures shorter delivery and response times in every market, takin”
