What Happened
Schaeffler is consolidating its established aftermarket product brands FAG, INA and LuK under one strong Schaeffler brand identity. From the second quarter of 2027, the three brands will be gradually transitioned to a uniform Schaeffler appearance around the world, giving customers easier access to the complete portfolio of products, services and digital solutions from Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions. The move follows the increasing complexity of modern vehicles: workshops and trade partners are looking more and more for integrated solutions instead of individual components. Customers will find the right solution more easily, navigate the range faster and benefit from the competence of a reliable technology partner. Vehicle Lifetime Solutions is the first Schaeffler division to implement this one-brand approach worldwide.
“Our customers already experience Schaeffler as a technology partner. The consolidation of our VLS product and service portfolio under a common brand is the logical next step and underscores our claim to actively shape the future of mobility and repair.”
The first visible sign will be a new packaging design that puts the Schaeffler brand at the center while FAG, INA and LuK remain visible in a supporting role. Before each implementation phase, Schaeffler will provide sales partners and workshops with comprehensive sales documents, training and transparent customer communication. Advertising materials, brochures, digital content and point-of-sale materials will increasingly center on Schaeffler, with the established product brands kept as supporting elements. Schaeffler is also introducing a clear and meaningful global product-naming concept under the Schaeffler brand so the portfolio becomes easier to recognize, navigate and access.
- OE quality, performance, reliability, specifications, article numbers, existing agreements, daily business processes and online catalogs remain unchanged
- FAG, LuK and INA brand names stay stamped directly on metal components
- FAG, INA and LuK continue to appear on packaging as supporting brands
- The decades of brand awareness and trust in FAG, INA and LuK are retained
“Professional mechanics today expect integrated repair solutions that they can rely on at any time. With our One-Brand approach we create more clarity, make choosing the right solution easier and strengthen the connection to the corporate Schaeffler brand. By keeping the established names FAG, INA and LuK, we ensure a smooth transition and preserve the trust and recognition these brands have built up. Our sales partners also benefit from a clearer brand architecture and less complexity in communication.”
Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions presents a first preview of the future brand experience at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026.
The worldwide, gradual rollout begins with the FAG aftermarket product portfolio receiving a new packaging design.
Why this matters
Modern vehicles are increasingly complex, so repair shops and trade partners want integrated solutions rather than single components. Combining FAG, INA and LuK under one Schaeffler brand gives customers a simpler path to the full aftermarket portfolio of products, services and digital offers. Keeping the established names as supporting elements retains the trust built over decades while reducing complexity for workshops and distributors.
