Skoda Unveils Epiq Electric Crossover SUV at Ice Hockey Championship, Marks 33 Years as Sponsor

What Happened
Skoda Auto has been the Official Main Sponsor of the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship since 1993, and this year it will provide 53 all-electric Elroq and Enyaq vehicles to the organizers. The Czech carmaker will also host fan zones in Zurich and Fribourg with activities including puck shooting, trophy viewing, and karaoke in Elroq models.
“The IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship is a major international sporting event, which is why we are excited to be the Official Main Sponsor for the 33rd consecutive year. This year, the tournament will also host the world premiere of our new compact SUV crossover, the Škoda Epiq, on 19 May.”

Skoda will supply Elroq and Enyaq models to support the championship's mobility needs.
On May 19, Skoda will unveil the Epiq, its entry-point electric crossover SUV, during the championship in Zurich. The Epiq is the first production model on the new MEB+ platform, offering front-wheel drive and modern assistance systems. It joins the Elroq and Enyaq in Skoda's EV lineup, with the Peaq expected in the second half of 2026.
