What Happened
Suzuki Motor Corporation has made an internal decision on changes to its Directors and Audit & Supervisory Board Members, to be formally approved at the 160th Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for June 2026. The new appointments include Kazuo Ichino as a new Director and Ryo Kawamura and Naomi Muramatsu as new Audit & Supervisory Board Members. The board will consist of nine Directors and five Audit & Supervisory Board Members after the changes.
- Kazuo Ichino, currently Senior Managing Officer, is proposed as a new Director, overseeing quality, procurement, manufacturing, and India operations.
- Aritaka Okajima will retire as Director and become Executive Fellow for Public Affairs and Corporate Communications.
- Ryo Kawamura (Managing Officer, Finance) and Naomi Muramatsu (attorney) are candidates for new Audit & Supervisory Board Members.
- Taisuke Toyoda and Norihisa Nagano will retire as Audit & Supervisory Board Members.
