What Happened
SMIPL began production in February 2006 and reached the 10 million mark in 20 years. The company currently produces 13 models including the ACCESS and GIXXER series. The 10 millionth unit was an ACCESS scooter, which combines everyday riding performance with convenience. Amid rising demand in the Indian market, SMIPL is constructing a new plant in Kharkhoda to expand production capacity.
