What Happened
Valeo presented its latest Ineez AC charging station at Drive to Zero 2026 in Paris. The station natively integrates bidirectional Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology and the ISO 15118-20 communication protocol, enabling real-time communication between the vehicle, charger, and grid. This allows EVs not only to charge but also to discharge energy back to the grid or buildings during peak demand.
“At Valeo, we are combining our industrial excellence and software protocols, to make advanced energy flexibility both accessible and future-proof for our customers, expanding our reach beyond the traditional automotive technology.”
- Smart Unidirectional (V1G) AC charging stations for residential and commercial applications
- Advanced Bidirectional (V2G) AC charging stations customized for carmakers
- Energy monitoring and management solutions for commercial and industrial applications
- Charging cables and mobile chargers under the Ineez brand
Why this matters
This technology allows electric vehicles to feed energy back to the grid during peak demand, potentially lowering charging costs and supporting grid stability, making EV ownership more economical and sustainable.
