What Happened
At the Volkswagen Group Night in Beijing on April 21, the automaker unveiled four world premieres: a new ID. UNYX member developed in 24 months, the first all-electric FAW-Volkswagen ID. AURA with the CEA E/E architecture, a Jetta all-electric show car marking its electrification milestone, and the exterior design of the AUDI E7X. These models are part of a broader product campaign that will see over 20 new electrified vehicles (NEVs) launched in China in 2026 alone.
The event also highlighted future technologies, including Level 2 advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) developed by CARIZON that enable Navigation on Autopilot (NOA) in urban and highway settings. The company is also advancing its own System on Chip (SoC) development to pave the way for Level 3/4 automated driving. AI will play a central role in creating more intuitive and human-centered driving experiences.
