Yutong Deploys 34 E9 Electric Buses on New Karachi Route

Yutong Bus Co., Ltd. has delivered 34 battery electric E9 buses to Pakistan, where they have entered service on a new EV bus route linking Gulshan-e-Maymar to Tower in Karachi. The route was launched by the Sindh Mass Transit Authority and the provincial Transport Department, offering convenient, safe, and affordable travel for communities in Gulshan-e-Maymar, Surjani Town, and surrounding areas. Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, and other officials attended the inauguration, underscoring the government's commitment to upgrading urban mobility.

The E9 model is tailored for Karachi's hot and humid environment, featuring IP6K9K-rated key EV component systems for dust and water resistance, liquid-cooled battery packs, efficient A/C, and air curtains at passenger doors. Yutong has also established 18 service outlets across Pakistan, a dedicated team, and the country's first bus training center, offering free technical training for operators.
