ZF and Qualcomm Collaborate to Deliver Scalable ADAS Solution Powered by ProAI and Snapdragon Ride

ADAS features offered by ZF

Approximately 25

Countries using Snapdragon Ride Pilot

Over 60

What Happened

ZF and Qualcomm Technologies announced a technology collaboration to provide a cutting-edge and scalable ADAS solution. Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon Ride system-on-chips and ZF's ProAI supercomputer, the platform delivers a powerful and flexible solution for automated driving, from regulatory functions up to Level 3. The open architecture allows seamless integration of third-party software, giving automakers flexibility to tailor solutions to their needs.

Key components of the collaboration
  • ZF ProAI: automotive-grade central computer with computing power of more than 1,500 TOPS.
  • Snapdragon Ride Pilot: camera-based AI perception for detecting objects, lanes, signs, parking assistance, driver monitoring, and real-time mapping.
  • Qualcomm Technologies’ open integration platform: modular system architecture supporting dynamic compute allocation and interoperability across heterogeneous ECUs.
  • Development toolchain: software resources, simulation environments, and APIs to accelerate prototyping, testing, and deployment of ADAS features.
Computing power of ZF ProAI

Up to 1,500 TOPSTOPS

The highest configuration level of the ProAI family.

We are pleased to deepen our longstanding collaboration in advancing ADAS innovation with ZF. By combining our strengths in high-performance automotive computing, perception, and computer vision, we’re enabling automakers to deliver intelligent, safer, and more cost-effective driver assistance systems across their vehicle portfolios.
Anshuman Saxena, VP and General Manager, ADAS & Robotics, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.

Why this matters

This collaboration gives automakers a flexible, open platform to integrate various software features and scale ADAS across different vehicle types, potentially accelerating the adoption of automated driving technologies.
