2027 KTM 790 Duke Gets Aggressive New Look, Improved Ergonomics and Suspension

KTM has revealed the 2027 790 Duke, marking the return of "The Scalpel" with the most complete evolution in the model's history. The motorcycle adopts the aggressive styling of the larger 990 and 1390 Super Duke, with a redesigned headlight assembly, aerodynamic bodywork, larger front fairing, and a new fuel tank. Underneath, the proven 799cc LC8c parallel-twin engine remains, producing 105 hp (95 hp for A2 license variant) and meeting EURO 5+ standards.

The biggest improvements focus on ergonomics, with a fully redesigned rider triangle including new handlebars with a wider angle, repositioned footpegs, and an improved seat. A 2 kg weight reduction enhances agility, aided by a new subframe, triple clamps, and fuel tank design. KTM has also removed the Demo mode from future models and upgraded to Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires.

The bike features new WP radial brakes developed in-house, offering more stopping power with less lever effort. Suspension is updated with WP APEX components: a 43mm open-cartridge fork with 150mm travel and a gas-assisted monotube shock with 170mm travel, both adjustable. A 5-click damping dial allows easy fine-tuning. The 2027 790 Duke continues the "Cut on Command" philosophy, aiming to feel like a natural extension of the rider.
