What Happened
Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., has delivered five Enviro200 single-decker buses to Sargeants Bros, an independent bus operator based in Herefordshire. The buses will serve local routes from Sargeants' new depot in Hereford, which opened on 13th April. Each bus seats 30 passengers in an 8.9m length and is equipped with seatbelts, real-time passenger information systems, dual scrolling screens, and an induction loop for the hard of hearing, meeting PSVAIR requirements.

“We initially chose the Enviro200 because of its suitability for the local country roads, but we’re generally very happy with the Alexander Dennis product, and especially impressed with the fuel figures on the Enviro200. While sales sold the first vehicle, it’s true to say that aftersales have sold the vehicles thereafter, with exceptional aftercare service levels.”
Sargeants Bros, which operates a 45-strong fleet, purchased its first Enviro200 in 2025 and has since added several more. The business has grown significantly under current owner Matt Evans, who bought it in 2019; the fleet has quadrupled in size. The new depot in Hereford and the existing Kington depot both have historical ties to founder Charlie Sargeant.
