Bajaj grows Chetak's Kerala footprint to 103 outlets as owners top 50,000
Bajaj Auto has widened the retail and service network for its Chetak electric scooter in Kerala to 103 customer touchpoints, up from just two when the brand first entered the state.

What Happened
The Kerala footprint now spans 18 dedicated Chetak Experience Centres, together with 85 dealer outlets run by Bajaj Auto, covering markets from Kochi and Palakkad to Wayanad and Thiruvananthapuram. Bajaj says the state has passed 50,000 Chetak owners.
The state build-out tracks strong national momentum for the brand. Bajaj's annual report recorded 3,02,674 domestic Chetak units in FY2026, against 2,60,033 the year before, lifting the scooter's slice of India's electric two-wheeler market to 20.7 percent.
“Chetak has grown significantly in Kerala, from an initial presence of two outlets to a network of over 103 outlets today”
Alongside the expansion, Bajaj is running a festive-season discount of 1,999 rupees on the Chetak while stocks last. The wider aim, it says, is easier buying, test-riding and servicing as electric scooters gain ground in the state.
Why this matters
Service reach weighs heavily on electric two-wheeler buyers, for whom easy access to repairs is a live concern. Building out that infrastructure in a fast-growing EV state is how Bajaj defends its position as rivals crowd in.
