What Happened

BorgWarner has won two new conquest awards in Asia: a latest-generation wet dual clutch for a Chinese OEM's SUV platform and a torsional assist variable cam timing system for a Japanese OEM's next-generation hybrid engine. The wet dual clutch uses optimized friction materials and groove design to reduce drag torque, improving fuel economy and shift performance. The VCT system shortens oil passages for faster cam phasing, making it ideal for hybrid engines.
