What Happened
At Auto China in Beijing, Bosch presented the TB193 and TB293 ultrasonic chipsets for close-range perception in vehicles. These chipsets allow for more precise detection of objects such as parked vehicles or curbs by measuring distance with greater accuracy.
For the first time, the solutions process raw signals directly from the ultrasonic sensors, providing a significantly larger and more detailed data set. This enables AI-based applications in the automotive industry to better interpret the vehicle's immediate surroundings.
Why this matters
These chipsets improve the accuracy of close-range perception in vehicles, a key component for advanced driver assistance and automated parking systems.
