What Happened
BYD marked a major manufacturing benchmark on September 29 as the ten-millionth vehicle from its historical Dynasty division exited the assembly line in Shenzhen. The milestone unit was an example of the Da Han full-size electric sedan, which serves as the top-tier four-door offering positioned above the existing Han series.

The Dynasty family originated in August 2013 with the introduction of the Qin plug-in hybrid compact sedan. Over 13 years of expansion, the product umbrella has grown to encompass six distinct nameplates—Qin, Han, Tang, Song, Yuan, and Xia—spanning 27 vehicle variants. Across BYD's historic total of 15 million new energy vehicles delivered, Dynasty products generated roughly 9 million units, alongside approximately 6 million from the Ocean network.
Measuring 5,256 mm long with a 3,130 mm wheelbase, the Da Han EV opened pre-sales across three trims spanning 249,900 yuan to 299,900 yuan. Single-motor variants produce 370 kW (496 hp) and deliver 1,008 km of CLTC range from a 102.326-kWh battery pack. A dual-motor all-wheel-drive flagship increases output to 570 kW (764 hp) while providing an 880 km operating radius.
Standard mechanical features include DiSus-A dual-chamber adaptive air suspension capable of altering ride height by 100 mm, paired with active rear-wheel steering that curtails the turning radius to 4.95 meters. Highway and urban pilot navigation is managed through the roof-mounted LiDAR sensors of the DiPilot 300 automated driving suite.
Why this matters
Reaching ten million deliveries within 13 years highlights the scale of BYD's core passenger vehicle division, which has supplied approximately 9 million of the automaker's first 15 million electrified vehicles. The Da Han anchors the brand's upward push into executive luxury, pairing up to 1,008 km of certified electric range with advanced chassis hardware.
