Fang Cheng Bao schedules longer-range Tai 7 plug-in hybrid reveal
BYD’s Fang Cheng Bao brand says it will show a new long-range DM version of the Tai 7 SUV on August 18.
- August 18
- 179,800 yuan
- 200 km CLTC
What Happened
Fang Cheng Bao says it will present a new long-range DM plug-in hybrid version of the Tai 7 at an August 18 event in Beijing time. The brand announced the event on Weibo.
The existing DM range has four versions with stated CLTC electric ranges of 135, 200, 190 and 190 kilometres. The current model launched in September 2025 from 179,800 yuan.
Company figures put Tai 7 sales above 200,000 roughly 10 months after launch. The new variant’s final range and pricing are expected to be disclosed at the event.
Why this matters
The Tai 7 is already the brand’s main sales driver, so a longer-range variant expands the product’s positioning without requiring a new vehicle line. The announcement is for a launch event; final specifications remain to be confirmed.
