What Happened
The five new Enviro200 single-deckers, each 9.7m long with 34 seats, wood-effect flooring and USB charging points, join Stephensons of Essex fleet just months after the operator took delivery of nine similar buses and five Enviro400 double-deckers. Four of the new buses are for route 90 between Witham and Maldon, with the fifth serving other routes.
Stephensons made the repeat order due to the high performance of earlier deliveries and stock availability to meet a contract deadline from Essex County Council. The buses wear the operator's green-and-white livery with 'The Blackwater Link' branding on four vehicles.
“We’re very happy to take another five buses from Alexander Dennis, who have been exceptionally quick to respond to our needs, offer an excellent service, and who we can trust to provide full aftermarket support.”
Why this matters
The repeat order signals strong operator confidence in the Enviro200's performance and helps maintain reliable bus services for Essex communities.
