What Happened
Geely announced the technology suite on August 28 and named the Zhanjian 700, also known as the Geely Galaxy Cruiser 700, as its first application. The package combines the GTA architecture, Thor EM-T hybrid system, and an AI-controlled digital chassis.
Geely describes the GTA structure as a reinforced body-and-frame design. The company gives the vehicle 233 millimeters of unladen ground clearance, 313 millimeters beneath the battery pack, and a roof-load rating of 16 tons.
The EM-T system uses a 2.0-liter engine, a three-speed DHT, and three electric motors in a four-wheel-drive layout. Geely lists a combined output of 830 kilowatts, with electronically controlled axle locks and a mechanical rear lock for difficult terrain.
An active hydraulic suspension can read the road 30 meters ahead and prepare the chassis for the surface. The announced package also includes a reinforced battery enclosure, flotation mode, satellite communications, and controls intended to maintain stability after a tire failure.
The Zhanjian 700 measures 5,085 millimeters long with a 2,900-millimeter wheelbase. Geely had not yet disclosed pricing or a final market-launch date when the technology announcement was made.
