What Happened
The HC Series Cab is now available for orders as both an electric and plug-in hybrid model. It offers a 26,000-pound GVWR and competitive payload capacity, with a design that enables longer cargo boxes on shorter wheelbases for improved maneuverability in tight urban environments.
“The HC Series Cab represents a major expansion of our product line and a defining moment for the medium-duty industry. We engineered this platform to outperform legacy diesel options while unlocking new advantages through electrification and our range-extended hybrid system to enable real work in the field.”
- Best-in-class turning diameter of 42 feet on the 158-inch wheelbase
- Low frame height of approximately 29 inches at GVWR
- Up to 15 kilowatts of exportable power for tools and equipment
- Range-extended hybrid version offers up to 500 miles of range
Harbinger is also adding advanced driver assistance systems in 2026, including emergency braking and lane keeping, through its acquisition of Phantom AI. The platform is built on Harbinger's vertically integrated electric chassis, designed for 450,000-mile durability.
Why this matters
The HC Series Cab combines electrification with range-extending hybrid capability and onboard power export, potentially replacing diesel work trucks and separate generators for construction fleets.
