What Happened
Horse Powertrain, the thermal and hybrid powertrain partnership formed by Geely and Renault, has introduced the 3DHT200 integrated drive assembly. Developed specifically for demanding off-highway vehicle platforms, the unit delivers up to 4,920 Nm of wheel output torque and supports climbing gradients up to 45 degrees.
The mechanical arrangement pairs a 110-kW P1 starter-generator motor with a 230-kW P3 traction motor that operates at shaft speeds exceeding 20,000 rpm. A multi-layer permanent magnet rotor layout elevates torque density by 15 percent and gravimetric power density by 20 percent compared to prior generations.

Consolidating thirteen distinct powertrain elements—including dual inverters, DC-DC converter, onboard charger, thermal management controllers, and reduction gearing—the 3DHT200 will make its commercial debut powering Geely's 830-kW Galaxy Cruiser 700 SUV.
Why this matters
The system consolidates electric propulsion, power electronics, and a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission into a package ten percent more compact than separate assemblies. Premiering on Geely's upcoming 830-kW Galaxy Cruiser 700, the hardware establishes an export-ready hybrid benchmark for both parent groups.
