What Happened
The Range Rover line is gaining a battery-powered flagship for the 2027 model year, with the electric version retaining the broad shape and cabin layout of its combustion counterpart.
Two electric motors deliver 542 horsepower; the torque rating is 627 pound-feet. A 119-kWh battery gives the SUV an EPA-estimated 333 miles of driving range.
An 800-volt electrical system supports DC charging at up to 350 kW. Land Rover says the battery can move from 10 to 80 percent in 22 minutes, and the vehicle comes with a NACS charging port.
U.S. pricing starts at $140,550. Land Rover also says the electric Range Rover can wade through up to 35 inches of water, matching the stated capability of the gas model.
