What Happened
LG Energy Solution announced today that it has joined SDVerse, becoming the first battery company to participate. SDVerse, co-founded in 2024 by General Motors, Magna, and Wipro, is the automotive industry's first B2B marketplace for automotive software. The company is offering five core battery software solutions optimized for the SDV environment, enabling smarter diagnostics, safer operation, and longer battery life.
- Battery Platform SW: Analyzes key battery status indicators integrating BMS technologies into an SDV-optimized architecture.
- Safety Diagnostic Calibration Tool: Enables safety diagnostics and simulation validation based on battery data.
- Onboard FRISM (Cell Data Free SOH Model): Estimates battery condition using machine learning-based error correction.
- Onboard BLiS (Battery Life Simulator): Predicts battery degradation and performance under various conditions.
- Onboard DASH (Degradation Reduction Action Strategy for Battery Health): Manages EV battery lifespan by analyzing driving and charging behaviors.
“We are proud to welcome LG Energy Solution and its advanced battery management software, diagnostics, and SDV-ready battery architecture to SDVerse. By combining deep battery expertise with software-driven intelligence, LG Energy Solution is helping accelerate the development of next-generation electric vehicles.”
