The new GLA sits 20 millimeters lower than its predecessor, has a 61-millimeter longer wheelbase, a wider rear track, and 18- to 20-inch wheels. It is the first model in Mercedes-Benz's compact segment to feature the illuminated iconic grille, with 608 polycarbonate light points and 158 micro-LEDs; the hybrid version uses 150 chrome stars. The electric GLA offers up to 657 kilometers (WLTP) of range and can replenish up to 270 kilometers in ten minutes on 800-volt DC chargers with up to 320 kW; AC charging reaches 22 kW. Consumption is 17.0–14.8 kWh/100 km for the GLA 200, 17.4–15.1 for the GLA 250+, and 17.6–15.1 for the GLA 350 4MATIC. From early 2027, hybrid variants add a new 1.5-liter turbo engine with 48-volt technology, a 22 kW electric boost, up to 25 kW recuperation, and a 1.3 kWh battery, allowing electric city driving and sailing above 100 km/h.
