New Dacia Spring brings up to 250 km range and sub-€20,000 pricing

Renault Group has unveiled the New Dacia Spring, the first model to emerge from Dacia's futuREady electric roadmap. Built on the new RGEV Small platform and produced in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, the electric city car offers up to 250 km of WLTP combined-cycle range, and the entire range is priced below €20,000 excluding government incentives. Development was accelerated to under two years, with a focus on practicality, efficiency and simplicity.

Data collected from Spring owners shows they drive around 30 kilometers per day on average, mainly outside major urban centers, for commuting, shopping, family activities and local travel. Dacia used this five years of real-world use to guide the new generation's development, increasing space and versatility while avoiding technological excess. The new architecture also improves interior space and load capacity while keeping a compact footprint.

Dacia says New Dacia Spring is the first tangible expression of its futuREady strategy, which targets four fully electric vehicles by 2030. The brand draws a line from its Logan, which made new-car ownership accessible, to the Duster's democratization of the SUV, to the Spring's opening of electric mobility to a broader audience. Dacia sees electrification not as a race for more power or sophistication but as a pragmatic response to real-world usage, with controlled costs and a reduced carbon footprint.
