What Happened
NextStar Energy, a joint venture now fully owned by LG Energy Solution, held the grand opening of its 4.23 million-square-foot battery manufacturing facility in Windsor, Ontario. The event featured remarks from executives and government leaders including Premier Doug Ford and Minister Mélanie Joly. The plant is Canada's first and only commercial-scale advanced battery manufacturing facility, producing cells for electric vehicles and energy storage systems.
