What Happened
Opel will present the Opel STX Concept and the Opel GSE 27FE as world premieres at the Paris Motor Show, the Mondial de l'Auto 2026, on stand A42 in Hall 4. The booth, created by Opel's Global Brand Design team in Rüsselsheim, is built like a German motorway: five black lanes guide visitors through the display and create a feeling of movement and progress. The design combines German engineering excellence — precision, state-of-the-art technologies and innovative solutions — with the dynamic 'OMG! GSE - Grand Sport Electric' world. Opel CEO Florian Huettl will present the world premieres at the press conference on Monday, October 12 from 11:40 a.m., together with Head of Marketing Rebecca Reinermann and Head of Design Mark Adams.
- Opel STX Concept (Sports Tourer eXperimental): world premiere, the bold vision of the electric estate of tomorrow.
- Opel GSE 27FE: world premiere of the race car for the GEN4 era of the Formula E World Championship, shown in its final race design.
- Opel Corsa GSE: trade fair premiere; the car can already be ordered.
- Opel Mokka GSE: last year it brought the rally feeling of the Mokka GSE Rally, with up to 207 kW (281 hp), from the rally stage to the road.
- Opel Astra GSE Line: available from spring 2027, making the GSE feeling accessible regardless of preferred powertrain.
- Electrified bestsellers on the outer lanes: the Frontera Electric family SUV up to the top-of-the-line Grandland Electric AWD.

The Paris Motor Show is open and visitors can experience the Opel stand.

The GSE side of the stand carries the emotional, high-performance side of electrification, with the whole appearance designed in yellow, silver, black and white. Yellow and white 'Lightspeed Stripes' run across the entire stand and pick up the design idea of the Opel GSE 27FE prototype, so that speed is tangible and visible even when the cars are stationary. At the heart of the stand is the Opel GSE Yellow Pixel Cube, which acts as a visual beacon and a signature of the GSE spirit, combined with a floating 3.5-metre media cube. The STX Concept is described as the next step in Opel's design philosophy — bolder, clearer, more emotional and more efficient — while the GSE 27FE represents the epitome of the Opel GSE performance concept.

Motorsport is not only displayed on the stand, it can be experienced there. The Pit Stop Experience, developed in partnership with GIANTX, lets visitors race on an exclusive Opel-themed Trackmania circuit, challenge friends, set lap records and compete for daily prizes. On Saturday, professional Trackmania players will go head-to-head in a live GIANTX tournament on the show floor. Visitors can also discover and purchase products from the official Opel Collection at the stand, including an exclusive new Formula E Collection celebrating Opel's debut season in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, which is also available through the Opel Collection online store.
Previously from Opel Automobile GmbH
A day earlier, Opel had already pulled the covers off the final race livery of its GSE 27FE, the GEN4 car it will take into its debut Formula E season, at the Paris Motor Show. Opel had also released the first images of its STX Concept, a show car that reimagines the estate body style and hints at a bolder new version of the brand's Vizor front end. The company had said in advance that it would use the Paris Motor Show to unveil the STX Concept electric estate study and to show its full GSE performance range, led by the Formula E GEN4 car it will race next season.

Why this matters
The Paris show is where Opel puts its design direction and its GSE performance range in front of the public. The STX Concept previews the electric estate the brand calls the station wagon of tomorrow, while the GSE 27FE is the car Opel will race in Formula E's GEN4 era. The stand also lets visitors drive and buy, through a Trackmania pit-stop experience and an on-site merchandise area.
