What Happened
Porsche has unveiled the GT3 Bergsport, a limited market edition of the 911 GT3 with Touring Package created by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur for customers in Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland. Only 100 examples will be built. The car will premiere at the Arosa ClassicCar hill climb in Switzerland on 3 September, where Porsche Brand Ambassador Jörg Bergmeister will drive the 7.3-kilometre course that climbs 422 metres through 76 corners. Porsche says its story has been linked to the mountains since its first sports cars took shape in a former sawmill in Gmünd, and Alpine passes helped define its road and racing cars.
Exterior highlights include a new Paint to Sample Plus colour called Valleygreenmetallic, described as capturing the deep greens and earthy tones of the mountains with gold metallic particles that sparkle in sunlight. The Lightweight Package is fitted, but with highly durable forged aluminium wheels in satin-finish White Gold and Ceramica instead of the usual magnesium wheels; orange brake callipers evoke alpenglow. The car also gets tinted HD-Matrix LED headlights, a chequered flag motif on the front luggage compartment lid inspired by the 908 Bergspyder, a B-pillar badge reading 'GT3 Bergsport', and a circular engine-compartment-cover emblem with four Alpine summits representing the four Alpine countries. A front axle lift system aids usability on steep ramps, and a 90-litre fuel tank extends touring range. A special-edition issue of Curves Magazine limited to 1,000 copies will accompany the launch.
Inside, folding carbon-fibre bucket seats, part of the Lightweight Package, are upholstered in bespoke Valleygreen leather, and a rear seat system is included. Orange stitching and embroidered 'GT3' lettering on the headrests echo alpenglow tones, while decorative stitching on the doors and upper dashboard forms stylised mountain-peak silhouettes in alternating black and white thread. The Sport Chrono Package with Porsche Design GT Clock, Light Design Package and BOSE Surround Sound System are included. The GT3 Bergsport badge appears on the rear lid grille, the leather centre console lid, and the key, leather key pouch and documentation wallet are tailor-made to match.

Why this matters
The GT3 Bergsport is a scarce, design-led product for Porsche customers in Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland, with only 100 examples built. It pairs the current 911 GT3's performance focus with styling inspired by Alpine scenery, and its hill-climb premiere ties the car to the mountain roads Porsche credits with shaping its earliest models. The edition also expands Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur's limited-run small-batch lineup.
