Renault Revises Scenic E-Tech with 89 kWh Battery and 642 km Range

Renault’s updated Scenic E-Tech Electric gains an 89 kWh NMC battery, a claimed 642 km range and faster 15-to-80 percent charging.

What Happened

Renault has revised the Scenic E-Tech Electric with new battery choices, faster DC charging and changes to its equipment and driver-assistance systems.

The Scenic 220 Long Range replaces its earlier 87 kWh NMC pack with an 89 kWh unit. Renault says the change lifts the vehicle’s maximum WLTP range from 625 km to 642 km, while the 15-to-80 percent charging window falls to a projected 28 minutes at a 150 kW peak.

A 67 kWh LFP battery will arrive later for the Scenic. That version is listed with up to 467 km of WLTP range, a 24-minute 15-to-80 percent charging time and peak charging of 165 kW.

The updated electric SUV keeps Renault’s AmpR Medium platform and is built at the company’s Douai plant in France. The revised model is due to open for orders in France in autumn 2026; German pricing has not yet been announced.

Why this matters

The update gives Renault a more competitive long-range electric SUV while adding an LFP option aimed at lowering cost and broadening the Scenic’s battery mix.
