What Happened
Aston Martin has introduced the DBX GT, a new interpretation of its acclaimed SUV that blends ultra-luxury craftsmanship, refined comfort and effortless performance. The GT expands the breadth of choice in the DBX range with what Aston Martin calls the highest levels of luxury, comfort and refinement without any sacrifice in performance. It is described as the most refined and understated interpretation of the high-performance SUV, delivering quiet luxury and elegance while keeping the on-demand dynamic capability for which the DBX is renowned. Like the DBX S, it carries the shared title of world's most powerful pure internal combustion SUV.
- New double vaned grille, available in bright or dark finishes, with split metal vanes that continue to the separate outer vents and incorporate the Daytime Running Lights to broaden the effect of the lower front bumper.
- Two-piece metal side strake with a contrasting polished and satin dual finish inspired by techniques used in traditional watchmaking.
- Lower front bumper, sills and rear diffuser painted to match the body colour as standard.
- New 22-inch forged wheel in a Satin Titanium diamond turned finish, fitted with an all-season tyre as standard to maximise ride compliance and minimise road noise.
- Optional 23-inch wheel and tyre package for a more assertive look and greater emphasis on performance.
- New quad exhaust finishers set in side-by-side pairs in a horizontal orientation, with bright polished outers and satin anodised inners.
Front and rear seats have been redesigned with enhanced cushioning, redefined bolstering and engineered comfort curves, and a 10mm thick memory foam layer has been added to the cushion structure. A new individual rear seat layout provides two individually sculpted seating positions with extended headrests and bolsters while retaining five-seat capability, and a panoramic glass roof is standard. The cabin adds an anodised metal drive mode rotary controller and secondary switchgear with a jewellery quality finish, GT-specific monotone, duotone and tritone upholstery combinations with quilting, perforation and a stitching pattern unique to the DBX GT, plus semi-aniline leather and deep pile floor mats. Aston Martin says each front seat takes 691 metres of thread, 3,297 perforation holes and in excess of four and a half hours of craftsmanship. Targeted body-structure changes, cabin sealing, sound deadening in door panels, front and rear wheel arch zones and the rear load space, acoustic laminated rear side glass and deep pile carpets cut outside noise, producing a 13% improvement in the Articulation Index, the industry score of how easy it is to hold a conversation on the move.
“DBX GT is aimed at customers who prefer assured elegance over sporting aggression and demand a higher degree of luxury. By refining the visual drama and elevating the interior with new elements of craftsmanship, the DBX GT delivers a true ultra-luxury experience; one which comes with no sacrifice in performance.”
The DBX GT uses the bespoke 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 introduced on the DBX S, producing 727PS with turbocharger technology shared with the mid-engine Valhalla supercar and 900Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0-60mph takes just 3.1 seconds and top speed remains 193mph, while carbon ceramic brakes measure 420mm at the front and 390mm at the rear. A faster steering ratio shared with the DBX S sharpens agility and the turning circle remains 12.0 metres, while a revised damper calibration and a unique damper valve system manage oil flow during high-frequency, low-amplitude inputs such as coarse road surfaces or rumble strips, with spring rates that change with the selected drive mode. Throttle pedal feel and the 9-speed wet clutch automatic transmission have been recalibrated, and learnings from the Valhalla bring a new transmission mount bush plus two new longitudinal dampers between the body and rear subframe; 22-inch wheels with Pirelli Scorpion Zero All-Season tyres are standard, with 23-inch wheels on Pirelli P-Zero Summer or Scorpion Zero All-Season tyres optional. A dedicated exhaust tune uses double mixing of gas flow within the rear muffler for a cleaner, richer tone, staying discreet in GT mode and returning to full voice in Sport and Sport+ modes.
“The challenge with DBX GT was achieving meaningful improvements in comfort and refinement in everyday use cases, but keeping the same class-leading reserves of performance and handling we have achieved with the DBX S. This was delivered via a combination of small but significant hardware upgrades together with a targeted suite of calibration changes to the chassis and powertrain.”
Aston Martin introduces the DBX GT in Gaydon, expanding the DBX range with a more luxury-focused variant.

Why this matters
Aston Martin is splitting its DBX SUV into distinct characters: the GT targets buyers who prefer assured elegance and a higher degree of luxury over sporting aggression, while keeping the same 727PS V8 performance as the DBX S. For customers, that means a new comfort-focused choice in the line-up, with a cabin Aston Martin says is 13% better at letting occupants hold a conversation on the move. First deliveries are scheduled for Q4 2026.
