Brandis, 55, studied law in Heidelberg, Tübingen, and Geneva before earning his doctorate at Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich. After leadership positions in Legal and Corporate Development, he became Chief Financial Officer of Wacker Chemical Corporation in Adrian, Michigan, USA, in 2014. Since January 2017, he has served as President of Wacker Chemie AG's global Polysilicon business unit, leading the worldwide business and driving strategic and operational transformation initiatives.
